Maekok River Village Resort is set on the outskirts of Chiang Mai, on 3 acres of landscaped riverside land on the south bank of the river. Constructed in a modern Thai style from local materials, the resort is designed primarily to cater to families. The resort is also the boarding point for the well established long tailed boat / bamboo raft / river barge & canoe trips between Ban Thaton & Chiang Rai.
Maekok River Village Resort is located 173 kms (3 hrs) north of Chiang Mai, and 90 kms (1.5 hrs) from Chiang Rai on the banks of the Maekok River, in the Thai-Burma border village of Ban Thaton.

Family Village
Delightful Thai style wooden houses raised on short stilts each with it’s own small garden and private BBQ area are encircled by a low picket style fence. Each villa is 60 sq. m. consisting of a main living and (twin/double bedded) master bedroom and a children’s room with 2 beds separated from the main area.

Pool Side Suites
The rooms surround three sides of the main swimming pool and the children’s pool. Each suite is 40 sq. metres in size plus a 12 sq. metre verandah facing onto the pool.Although designed primarily for 2 people, the suites will take an extra bed and have a connecting door to the next suite to enable suites to be easily modified to accommodate a family of 5 – 6 people.
